Nice 1984 Guild X 79 Guitar
Up for you're bidding pleasure is a great example of the much sought after and elusive Guild M85 bass. These basses have been around a long time and sleepers in the vintage guitar market until brought into the limelight within the last 8-10 years by Sheryl Crow and Brian Ray of Paul McCartney's band.
This particular bass was made in 1975 and has one of the slimmest and easiest playing necks out there with a very comfortable slight v shape. It is short scale 30 1/2 inches, the neck is dead straight with unbelievable low action and ease of play with a really cool vintage sound, everything from McCartney / Beatles with the front pickup to a very Jaco type of articulated funk with the rear pickup. All hardware and electronics are original, shielding is good, even has the original very cool redwood string saddles. The original black finish had been removed at some point leaving behind the beautiful mahogany you see. This bass is in really good condition, has some scratches here and there, the worst in the upper left, ( not a museum piece) but overall a killer playing bass. If your a player whose been lusting after one these baby's here's you're chance to get a really good one at a fair price, my opening bid is very reasonable. It really hurts to have to sell this bass but times being what they are I need the money pretty bad for bills
The bass will be shipped in the brand new hardshell case pictured via Fed. Ex. to the lower 48 states only, Paypal is the preferred method of payment and must be received within 3 days of auctions end. Please no zero or negative feedback bidders.
Good luck on a hard to find and phenominal bass! You won't be sorry.
