Here is a nice old git in good condition meaning that it looks good to me.  I got this in the late 90s used.   I got an older favorite so I never really played it.  The action is 5/32 inch under the string at the 12th fret above the metal fret.  The action is slightly high but I never adjusted the neck rod or tried to lower the strings.  It will probably need some adjustment.  There are 2 little marks on the backside of the neck, one like a sticky fingerprint and one a tiny scratch.  Otherwise I could not find any real notable dings or marks. It has some play wear on the ebony neck. The frets look ok and I could not find any buzzing.  This one was made in westerly, RI in the USA,   I hate to see it go but  don't use it.  This comes with a black fake alligator semi-hard case which was probably original.  The SN is 196XXX.   If you want to ask quiestions, fine, but I don't like to chat online, spare me your comments.  One question per person.   #31k34-000     You remember all the people on TV playing one like this in the old days.  This will go UPS ground, full insurance, strings relaxed.  No I don't want to sell it for less or end it early and don't ask me for the SN.  I have to collect tax now for Illinois so if you are in Illinois wait for the invoice.

Beautiful 1962 Guild CE100 for sale. The guitar is amazing. The playability is unmatched. Excellent tone from the Franz pickup. Great Jazzbox, but also sounds great for blues. The guitar is all original except it has a Starfire truss rod cover on it. All else original. Tuners, knobs, electronics, pickup, bridge, pickguard, tailpiece, etc... The CE100 was Guild's answer to the Gibson ES175 and it answers it very well. The body is 16 3/8 wide at lower bout and 2 7/8 inches deep. Nut width 1 11/16ths. Action is very low and the guitar almost plays itself. Frets are showing only minimul wear with years left. No fret buzz or other issues. Truss rod works fine as does all electronics. Neck is straight with no issues. Comes in it's original Lifton case.

There are only monor issues with cosmetics. The guitar shows light finish checking normal for a 50 year old. There are some small paint chips here and there due to the checking, but all small. There is an area on the back right edge where the finish has chipped off from checking. It is stable and has not gotten any worse in years. See back photo. The binding is perfect with the exception of the front side cutaway where it is lifting slightly as seen in the photo with the pickup. Rest of the binding is fine. Headstock laminant shows no lifting or shrinkage. Brazilian rosewood fretboard and bridge. The fretboard is clean with no gouging or issues. This guitar is exactly the same as the 50s models. Guild started using humbucker pickup sometime in 1963. Sunburst finish still shines and looks great. This guitar has no issues with playability or sound. It's in perfect playing condition. Garaunteed. This guitar is right in the middle of the last photo. If you have any other specific questions please ask.

products are items that I would personally use. All guitars have been tested
and closely inspected. I try to report any and all issues with these guitars
accurately. I care about every customer and because of that I care about each
guitar. I include pictures of the actual items being sold. My desire is to make
your guitar purchasing experience a joyful one.
Many of my guitars carry
the "used" stamp required by all manufacturers before releasing any
guitar for resale.  Others are previously owned but carefully taken care
of. Some are new. I will identify each carefully in the listing.
Instruments that are
stamped “used” were purchased directly from an authorized refurbishing center,
who purchased it directly from the manufacturer. Though listed as a
"used" item my guitars are typically in mint or near mint condition!
Many of their instruments come to them as discontinued or overstocked items.
Some may be a slightly different color than the intended color. Some just need
a proper setup. None are previously owned. If there is any item not functioning
properly the refurbish center has a dozen authorized luthiers who make the

The reason these
instruments are listed this way is to avoid fraudulent warranty claims. The
refurbishing centers, and our store, are required by the manufacturers to label
them as used. These centers test, check and fix any minor flaws that might have
been incurred during the manufacturing of the instrument. They make sure the
instrument is in top playing condition before shipping it out. We also
personally inspect each instrument before listing it and again before shipping
it.

Everything that leaves
our store is in working order (unless otherwise stated). There is rarely a
noticeable flaw in these items to qualify them as used and when there
is, we will always note it in the item description and provide clear
photos.
As a reconditioned item,
the factory warranty is no longer valid (unless where noted otherwise in the
listing). This is standard practice for refurbished and reconditioned items.
PAYMENT POLICY:
We require payment
within 72 hours of purchase and/or auction close via PayPal. Please do not
bid if you do not intend to purchase or cannot pay for this item because
someone else will. It costs a lot of money when items are bought and not paid for. If some situation arises after you bid
feel free to contact me. I am very reasonable.
If the
address you have registered with PayPal is not Confirmed, please contact me

SHIPPING POLICY:
I will make every effort

I package all items very
carefully. I pay for insurance and all items are packaged carefully - I go the
extra mile to make sure your guitar arrives perfectly!
RETURN POLICY:
I only sell guitars I
would like to own myself.  I stand behind what I sell and will accept a
return conditionally. All returns must be approved by Fine Fretted Friends
within 72 hours of receipt. If you are still not satisfied contact me to
authorize a return for full refund less shipping provided the guitar is
returned insured, in the same packaging you received it in, and packed for
return just as you received it. Instruments that have been altered or
tampered with in any way cannot be returned- sorry!  
Returned items must be
properly boxed, ample padding, and insurance. If you do not do this or the
item has been tampered-with the return policy is not valid. All refunds
will be given after we inspect and verify the instrument in its original
condition.
If you wish to return
your instrument after the 72 hours due to some unforeseen reason you will be
charged a 25% restocking fee at the discretion of Fine Fretted Friends based on
the discussion between the seller and buyer. If the item is returned due to
something that is out of our control, .i.e. you changed your mind, failed to
read the entire ad and/or details, etc., you will be charged the
restocking fee.  We will refund any shipping cost to or from the buyer;
UNLESS it is deemed to have a restocking fee applied to the return. In that
case the buyer will be responsible for all return shipping.
