For your consideration is this vintage Guild G212, SN DH100386, made in Rhode Island in the early 1980s.  For those unfamiliar with Guild guitars the G212 was the 12-string version of the very popular D40 dreadnought.  Again, it is a vintage American made guitar and NOT the foreign-made G212GAD that is sold today.   The body is dark mahogany; the top of close-grained spruce.

I am the original owner.  This guitar has been played very little, only indoors, and it shows virtually no fret wear, no dings, no cracking or crazing of the finish, and only minor finger nail marks on the pick guard.  It always has been kept in its hardshell, padded case under controlled humidity conditions.  The original tuning machines have been replaced with Grover Rotomatics, a very fine upgrade.  Some tiny screw holes from the original machines show on the back of the head.  The original machines are included.  The holes show very little, but I mention them in the interest of accuracy and show them in photo 2.

Local pickup near Syracuse NY is much preferred, but I will ship the guitar in its case and insured within the "Lower 48" states at the buyer's expense.  The shipping charge shown is the maximum; if shipping costs less I will refund the difference.

Guild GAD-G212E Acoustic/Electric Guitar + Case

The handsome and lush-sounding Guild GAD-G212E dreadnought 12-string
features a solid spruce top, solid mahogany back and sides, special
12-string bracing, mahogany neck, bone nut and saddle, wood bindings,
rosewood fingerboard and bridge, and special pearl inlay and a Fishman
Matrix under-saddle pickup with endpin jack.     
This guitar has never been played! It is lightly stamped "used" on the back of the headstock. This designation means the guitar has a minor cosmetic blemish. It is a completely playable instrument with no sacrifice of tone, structure, or playability. This particular guitar has some light dimples in the lacquer on the top of the body, some imperfections in the finish on the headstock, and a light 3/8" long scratch on the back of the body. I have included close up photos of each of these. Otherwise, this guitar is in flawless condition!
This is hands down one of the best sounding and best playing 12 string guitars I have ever played. It made an impression on me. I truly don't know if I have ever played a 12 string with action as low and easy as this one, and there is no fretbuzz whatsoever. All woods are solid, no laminated back and sides here. The projection is very warm, strong and defined all at the same time. And if you still need some extra sound reinforcement from time to time, the Fishman Matrix undersaddle pickup provides an easy and effective solution for plugging into a PA.
The included Guild Hardshell Case is brand new and in mint condition. The case keys and truss rod tool are also included.

-Much used appearance as some scratches and tiny dents could be seen.
Hardware parts are dull and rusty, especially bridge and pickgup cover.
On the pickguard, there are some scratches by picking stroke. On the back, there are light buckle wear.
At the edge and side body, there are several dents.
However there are no serious damage on the guitar.

- Remainder of the frets are about 60% of original.
- Neck condition is good. Its truss rod still functions.
- Working condition is fine. Electronics work well.

GUILD D-4 Acoustic Guitar

An excellent older Guild D-4 Acoustic guitar!!! It has a bound spruce top, arched raised mahogany back and sides, a beautiful 20 fret rosewood fretboard with pearl dot inlays, chrome Grover tuners, and it plays and sounds great!

The condition is good(a 7 out of 10) with excessive signs of use and shows light to average fret wear, the guitar is really worn all around and has a warm deep rich vintage tone. Lots of surface wear on this one, several light finish checks on the top, the tortiose shell pickguard is peeling up some, and it looks like someone put some extra clear coating on the back of the headstock(see pics).

The action at the 12th fret is 3/32", and the saddle height from the bridge is 1/8". No lifting of the bridge and no separation at the neck joint. The nut width is 1 and 11/16.

Serial#cf000900, made in the USA not sure what year, includes the well used hard case in the pics.

are converted by collectors and prized by owners. I am starting this auction at
a very low price. This guitars is worth far more. Feel free to send questions and

The condition of this
guitars is excellent.  I will focus a few
photos on the few blemishes I have found. There are 2 small blemishes to the
clear finish on the back of the guitar that have proven imposable to photograph.
The frets and the back of the neck are in near perfect condition, very little
ware at all. No dents or dings.

The electronic are working perfectly.
I did hear a little noise coming from the tone knob, but that seems to be going
way with use. I have restrung the guitar with a set of PRS 10s, but the former
owner likely had a much heaver set of strings on the guitar. As a result the
new owner will likely want to take the time to do a proper set up and
intonation.

I have no idea who made the pickups.
So I have included a photo of the back of the bridges pickup (see photo). The sound
is amazing!  The Neck pickup up sounds
just like a Benedetto I had at one time and the bridge position has more snort
than one would thing. Blues guys would love it!

   Im currently selling off all of my guitars with exception to one Martin HD-28V. I have sold a Martin D-18V on Ebay and a Martin HD-35 locally. This Guild guitar is amazing in its own right. It was purchased brand new several years ago and is a treat to play. It features an Adi top and mahogany back and sides. It also has the factory installed DTAR pick up which is no slouch. There are minor play marks but only very minor and looks newer then most hanging on music store walls. It has been meticulously cared for with proper humidity using only distilled water in the dry winters. I am a light flat picker and you can get some buzz with heavy playing or strumming due to lower action. This is not an issue with my play style but may be for a strummer or bluegrass player. I do have interest locally so auction may end abruptly.
