Guild De Armond model 77T Guitar
This is a 1969 or 1970 Guild Starfire 5. The serial number is EN 2357. I am the original owner and had the original Bigsby tailpiece replaced with a trapeze tailpiece for a more jazz effect when attending Berklee College of Music in 1979-1983. I still have the original tailpiece and will include it with the guitar. I had the input jack professionally reinforced with a chrome plate. You may also want to replace the original metallic bridge. Other than that, the instrument is all original, nothing else has been tampered with at all. The frets are in fine shape, the neck is fine, there are no issues at all with playability. The finish on the back of the neck is worn due to hours and years of playing. There are some dings and rashes on the front, back and sides that are merely cosmetic. There are no weird or hidden secrets regarding this guitar at all! It plays and sounds great! The original case is in rough shape but it still protects the guitar. I am a Professor of music at UMass Amherst and a guitar collector and am only selling this instrument to put money towards a plectrum banjo that I need to play dixieland gigs. The buy it now price is totally fair and honest as I am taking the cosmetic issues, changed tailpiece and worn case into consideration in the pricing. Good luck!
