You are looking at an early 70s Guild F-20 acoustic guitar with the original case. This little baby is in exceptional condition and is from my personal collection. I had to choose between this and an even older F-30 and at least today the F-30 wins because of sentimental value. These are great little guitars with superior sustain or punch depending on how you play them. The necks on these short scale Guilds are unbelievably fast, quiet and easy. This particular guitar records very well and can fill any room with beautiful tone. I sat on the listening end awhile ago and was amazed at the volume and clarity of the individual notes. It is a great travel guitar because of the smaller size and its ability to play soft and sweet.
There is some light finish checking and various small dings but there are very few well played guitars that are this clean. The neck is perfectly straight, the action is low (NO buzzing) and the intonation is spot on. The bridge is tight, the frets are clean and the tuners look new and work perfectly. The inside label has been gone for many years but the Guild brand is clearly seen as well as the F-20 designation on the neck block. The case is original and in excellent condition except for the handle. The original broke off and was replaced with a cloth strap that works great.
If you are looking for solid wood American made tone machine look no further. These are well known blues favorites and this one is especially excellent for solos because the neck plays like an electric. This guitar is fast and easy and bold and bossy. It has a Napoleon complex. This thing would pick a fight with a J-45 in a heartbeat. Everything I have read on these has been positive. These old Guild hold up really well. When I buy a 60s or 70s Martin I exoect it to need a neck reset but the Guilds have never once needed any work except the occasional bridge replacement. They are light as a feather and tough as nails.
So there you have it. I have sold many guitars and amps on Ebay and have always maintained a 100% feedback rating. Please read my feedback. The Guild will be professionally packed and shipped. Thanks for looking and rock steady.
